   I came across this amazing Ikat hat at a greek festival a few months ago. Both my cousin and I were in love with it, but we live in Florida and had no reason to own a winter hat. We walked away from the booth where it was displayed, and I said to my cousin "I am going to wear that hat in Utah! If I buy it now I will be putting it out in the universe that I am going...then the universe will being me the extra money I need to fund my trip." The rest will go down in my personal history as one of the greatest vacation's of my life. I loved the idea of color and fashion in winter wear. 

   It inspired all of my outift choices for Utah, I thrifted and searched after winter clearance sales to compile a mini-winter wardrobe. When I got to Utah it was surprisingly warm and sunny, and I was a bit let down, and then one morning we woke up to this winter wonderland. I sang Christmas songs all day and tried to convince my friend Valarie to change the theme of a party she was having to a Christmas theme, then she reminded me that it was only Christmas for me, and she and her friends were ready for winter to be over. 

   Isn't Red, Val's dog so cute? He slept in bed with me every night I was there and acted depressed on the last day when I had all my bags packed up. I called him the one-hip wonder because with only one hip he made it through our five hour hike up a mountain. I love the pic of the two of them Valarie is just as cute and sweet in real life.
